For Will
The Challenge - by Kevin Spear - Sea KayakerIn April 2025, I will embark on a Solo, Unsupported Sea Kayak expedition around the Isle of Skye. There will be no team following, no food drop and I will be carrying everything I need from day one.
The intention is to raise funds for #Willdoes, a charity supporting young adults' education, physical and mental health and help with social inclusion.

Why This Challenge?
As a father of boys I am acutely aware of the modern day pressures for young people. More than ever the pressures from social media, eduction and peers add to our young people's load. Will’s charity provides opportunities for safe places to talk for young people struggling. It helps them to engage in sports, outdoor activities, and community building, giving them the tools to cope with mental health challenges and find support in each other.

About #willdoes charity
The #Willdoes charity is dedicated to the memory of William Paddy, a sporty, charismatic child with a cheeky smile who grew up near Swanage, Dorset. He enjoyed horse riding, snow boarding, rugby and tennis. A sensitive and empathetic kid, Will loved animals and being surrounded by them.
Sadly his life ended early at the age of 14, but his energy lives on through those who knew him and in his charity, #Willdoes.Will's mother, Les, has set up the charity to help young people who may be finding things tough, struggling to cope with daily life.
